Pavilion

The Stanhope Park Pavilion was gifted to the town of Holsworthy in 1901. After years of decline, Piper Architecture Director Lyndon Piper led a transformative project to restore the pavilion and reinvigorate community sport and recreation in the town’s central park.

The £400k restoration preserved the original Victorian structure while adding modern facilities, including multiple changing rooms, toilets, storage, and plant rooms. The project was a collaborative effort, involving local community groups, sports organisations, local authorities, and national governing bodies such as the Football Association, the England and Wales Cricket Board, and Sport England.

Today, the pavilion serves as a hub for five local grassroots sports clubs, supporting football, cricket, running, cycling, and netball, and continues to play a vital role in the town's community life.
